Myanmar’s Civil War Reaches Fever Pitch

In this video, I provide an update on the conflict in Myanmar. It includes detailed political violence data collected between 2023 and 2025 from Armed Conflict Location and Event Data. I identify the major resistance movements. The research also leverages case study analysis taken from the Study of Internal Conflict at the University of South Florida to determine the likely outcome of the insurgencies. The demise of the current Myanmar dictatorship remains certain which poses implications for the foreign policies of China and India in a region fraught with strategic competition.
